Raw Energy!

Here is a short article that we have been asked to write for ‘Taste Shropshire‘ magazine.

Want to boost your energy levels, feel fantastic, need less sleep and be far more alert and productive? Then increasing the amount of Raw Food that you eat is the best way.

Raw food is tasty, energising, hydrating and alkalising. It is essentially a vegetarian diet, ideally organic, encompassing a wide variety of dishes and snacks, including salads, smoothies, pizzas, cakes, sushi, sauces and full gourmet meals.

Cooking food greatly reduces its nutritional value, killing off vital digestive enzymes which otherwise help your body to process food efficiently taking on its valuable nutrients. Starting your day with a fresh veggie juice, followed by a raw food salad for lunch and whatever you fancy for dinner, avoiding fast food of course, is easy to do and makes an incredible difference to how you feel.

The raw food experts typically encourage us to progress towards an 80% raw food diet– that’s a tall order for most people. Eating around 50% raw food is easy, fun and you will feel wonderful. At the end of the day, you have to find what works for you and be open to the possibility that you can feel a great deal better and more energised than you probably do right now.

Andrew Nicholson and Diane MacDowall, life coaches and trainers, teach about managing and improving energy. They have developed many tools to help us improve our energy; Raw Food gives some of the quickest and biggest results.

MANAGING YOUR ENERGY

Managing your energy is a major factor in what and who you attract into your life. Along with managing your thoughts (and therefore your beliefs, habits and your whole identity….), what you eat/drink, your environment and your lifestyle are other key areas you can control.

So managing and improving your energy falls into three key areas:

  • What you put past your lips (eat, drink, breathe in and absorb)
  • What you think (and also learning not to think too much)
  • Your lifestyle and environment (more of what you absorb, friends, balance etc)

These are some of the key areas that you can easily work on.
