New Year Resolutions – Why Most Don’t Last or Work

Does Your Life Have Direction?

We often set New Year Resolutions with either no real intention, or as a reaction against or ‘away from’ something we don’t like. Most of us allow limiting beliefs and negative internal ‘chatter’ to sabotage our goals. It is our Ego’s way of keeping us safe from failure, keeping us in our comfort zone and sometimes keeping us lazy. At other times, we can be busy fools, working hard on life’s treadmill in the rat race… with no real direction, so going nowhere.

In order for us to stick at our resolutions, they really need to be in line with very positive ‘towards’ motivations, where you have a clear vision and excited feeling about the outcome. Even better, the goals that you set and resolutions you make, will be most effective if they are in line with your core values and a properly considered direction and purpose in life.
